Desert Scapes
In the dry heat of the desert, the Apache host coming-of-age ‘sunrise ceremonies’ so that the young girls of their tribe can learn to commune with the ancestors. Sufi mystics have continuously found spiritual respite and enlightenment amongst the arid air of the desert, and new-age wanderers, hopefuls, and outcasts commonly flee here in search of answers, solitude, and a sense of freedom only the vastness of the land can offer.

Water Scapes
Purification, rebirth, the subconscious — water has long occupied space as a spiritual refuge in our collective psyche. Alongside the lapping shore of the ocean, or near the edge of a solitary creek, we are free to reimagine ourselves as somehow better, simpler individuals, and it is here that we can truly experience our connectedness to the earth. Among water, the cleansing ritual is almost complete — all you have to do is take a deep breath, dip your toes in, and allow the melody of the movement to transport you deeper into the now.
